Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the exchange rates?▾
Our rates are based on recent market data and updated regularly. They are accurate for reference, budgeting, and estimates. For actual financial transactions, your bank or payment provider will apply their own rates, which may include fees and spreads — always confirm before transferring money.
What currencies are supported?▾
We support 30+ major and regional currencies including USD (US Dollar), EUR (Euro), GBP (British Pound), JPY (Japanese Yen), CAD (Canadian Dollar), AUD (Australian Dollar), CHF (Swiss Franc), CNY (Chinese Yuan), INR (Indian Rupee), MXN, BRL, KRW, SGD, HKD, and more.
How often are exchange rates updated?▾
Rates are updated multiple times per day from financial data providers. Currency markets fluctuate continuously, so rates shown are the best available approximation. For live real-time rates, consult your bank, currency broker, or financial data service.
What is the difference between mid-market rate and bank rate?▾
The mid-market rate (also called interbank rate) is the midpoint between buy and sell prices — the "true" exchange rate shown on Google and in our tool. Banks and services charge a spread on top of this, typically 1–4% for retail customers. Always factor in fees when converting money.
How do I calculate the cost of buying foreign currency?▾
Multiply the amount by the exchange rate to get the base converted amount. Then add the service fee or spread your provider charges (often 1.5–3%). Example: converting $1,000 USD to EUR at 0.92 = €920 base, minus a 2% fee = ~€901.60 received.
